In Our Mad and Furious City (2019) av Guy Gunaratne om en sommar i London med fotboll, musik och frihet. Men nu, efter mordet på en brittisk soldat, sprider sig upploppen över London, ingenting är lungt eller säkert. Raseriet virvlar runt och vännerna Selvon och Ardan tänker mest på flickor. Deras vän Yusuf fångas av en våg av radikalism från den lokala moskén, och hotar att ta med sig vännen Irfan. En samtidsroman om en mångkulturell stad. Utan att jämföra tänker jag på Johannes Anyuru, Jonas Hassen Khemiri, Sami Said.
